matchmaker + blind date = done that!

If there is one thing I have learned about dating it is this: never let your friends set you up with somebody.Eventually, it will be a disaster and there's only 40% of chance that friendship might blossom into a good one. Inevitably, from my experiences, it will lead straight to "problems".

I celebrated my not-so-recent Valentine's Day on a blind date. Yup, it was set up by Red FM DJ's (Dilly & JD). It was held at Sky Bar, Traders Hotel and I'm in love with the majestic and breathtaking view of KL city centre. How did i get myself into this? Long story cut short, I won a competition and the winner gets to go on a date...blind date.

Ladies: Elaine, Shamala and myself.

Guys: Melvin, Desmond and Fada

Only Desmond bought us flowers. I have to praise him on that and he had my attention at the flowers.

The date went well. We were supposed to sit a corner and talk to each of our designated partner. Fada was supposed to be my date, but instead we went for group date. Host was happy that we all clicked along.

I hooked up with Desmond after the group date. For few weeks it went well until he started showing signs of extreme jealousy syndrome. I had to back off, period. I had to endure couple of months being silent towards him. Till this day, we have yet to have to closure. Unlikely of me of not having a closure, maybe the timing is not right yet. One day, I'll explain to him.

Fada is sweet and nice. He has this special gift of reading palms. Yes, we continued being friends untill today. The good thing that come out from this group date was my friendship with Fada. The best part is, Fada stays 5 minutes away from my area and usual coffee session is a must.

Couple of blind dates went on for couple of months and most of them never turn out to be that good. I have super friends with amazing intention for me but as for now, I have to put a stop to this.

Dating? Just not for me now...for now...
